The set of three 1oz gold proof coins features three key characters in the film: Azog, Thranduil and Bilbo Baggins. Thought to have been destroyed many years ago, Azog the Defiler has come forth once more, leading a lethal pack of killer-Orcs. Father to Legolas Greenleaf, Thranduil is a powerful Elf-Lord, and a legendary fighter. Finally, Bilbo Baggins is an unassuming Hobbit who is swept away from his home in the Shire to embark upon an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
Each coin is official legal tender and is made from 0.9999 gold. The coins are packaged within a beautiful wooden case, onto which the official ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ logo has been carved.
