This intricately detailed 1oz silver proof coin follows on from the commemorative coin we issued in 2013 for the birth of His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. The coin design reflects the close relationship New Zealand has with the Monarchy as a member of the Commonwealth, with the design of the rim of the coin intertwining the iconic New Zealand silver fern and the English rose. The centre of the coin depicts a traditional baby’s carriage with the birthdate of the baby.
